Working within our Network Operations division, you'll be a key member of the Operational Planning department, monitoring Safety and Compliance standards across the TUI Operations Control Centre (TOCC). You'll investigate safety issues, share regulatory expertise, and drive continuous improvement processes across our five AOCs. This pivotal role ensures we maintain the highest safety standards while supporting operational excellence.
We offer this role on a Hybrid working model initially with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Luton office. As this role supports a highly operational area of the business, onsite requirement may be increased. Therefore flexibility and agreement around this will be expected.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Manage and support the self-auditing process of the Department Quality System across the TOCC, continuously improving procedures through thorough review and feedback mechanisms
- Provide comprehensive subject matter expertise to Quality Representatives across our airlines, delivering training and fostering alignment between departments
- Maintain and update all procedural documentation, ensuring the TOCC Procedures Manual accurately reflects current operations through regular assessment and review
- Ensure full regulatory compliance by managing departmental audits, meeting required timelines, and adapting to changing priorities along with participation in projects and initiatives to continuously improve standards and performance across TOCC
- Monitor and assess IOSA, EASA and national authority regulatory requirements, preparing recommendations for process improvements to maintain compliance, managing implementation and follow up
- Collation and further Investigation of internal Safety Reports or flight crew feedback mechanisms, monitoring trends highlighting key focus areas ensuring the root cause is identified and understood. Present outcomes ensuring understanding and allocate and monitor required actions resulting in the growth of the Safety culture across the TOCC
- Chair operational meetings in the manager's absence, ensuring appropriate follow-up and timeline adherence with stakeholders ensuring regulatory training is delivered by expiration dates
- Represent the TOCC at Safety Action Groups, providing updates on investigations and contributing data-driven insights
- Collaborate closely with the TOCC Training Manager to implement regulatory changes and safety mitigation actions
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in airline Safety & Compliance within an operational Airline environment
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Strong IT competency with the ability to adapt to new systems and technologies
- Commercial awareness combined with solid understanding of aviation operations and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to collate, analyse and present data clearly
- Understanding of Safety Management systems and root cause analysis techniques would be highly beneficial
- Able to prioritise workload effectively and manage your time to deliver to deadlines
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting at all levels of the company and the external parties, with the ability to build trust and productive relationships
- Understands cultural and contextual differences and take account of such differences whilst ensuring goals are achieved
- Flexible, responsive, able to respond to fast changing commercial or operational situations
- Role requires strong business English, both spoken and written
