Reports to: Manager, Role-Based Training
Purpose
The Supervisor, Role-Based Training directly oversees our role-based training team, driving and supporting the creation of engaging learning and practical experiences that support role-based training goals. With the principal purpose of ensuring the successful transfer of knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and engaging manner, this role designs and develops the role-based training strategy and supervises role-based trainers to ensure the effectiveness of the team. The Supervisor fosters growth and development of learners through well-designed, creative and impactful instructional program content and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Leads role-based training team to provide exceptional training to PANTHERx associates.
- Distributes responsibilities to the team daily to ensure all new and current PANTHERx associates are receiving adequate training necessary to perform their duties.
- Assists with the development of training materials, guides, e-learning modules, job aids, and competency assessments.
- Participates in regular meetings with leadership to discuss staff skills gaps and training accomplishments.
- Effectively oversees and manages the performance and effectiveness of team members, and completes and delivers team members annual reviews.
- Supports the Manager, Role Based Training in the following:
- Undertakes role-based learning needs analysis.
- Develops and designs training programs to support role-based training needs, including onboarding.
- Creates multi-modal, engaging learning activities, compelling course content, and assessments that enhance retention and professional development (to include computer-based, instructor-led, and virtual modules).
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to identify targeted and role-based training needs.
- Supports role-based trainers in instructional design theories, methods, and application.
- Ensures learning approaches enhance the learning process, retention, and on-the-job application.
- Identifies the criteria used to assess learners’ performance and develops assessment instruments.
- Develops and maintains role-based training policies and procedures.
- Facilitates additional training with Supervisors as needed, identifying skills or knowledge gaps and proposing targeted learning interventions.
- Partners with pharmacy operations, compliance, and quality teams to ensure training reflects current policies, SOPs, and therapeutic knowledge.
- Supports new program implementations, system changes, and process improvements through updated training.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist in a specialty pharmacy.
- Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited institution
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist licensure for the state of Pennsylvania
- Demonstrated experience supporting, enhancing or directly providing training to front line team members in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a leadership role, managing team members.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience successfully supporting and designing training content.
Work Environment
This position operates in a home or professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as reading, observing surroundings, or working with various forms of data.
