Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT and LabVIEW Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This hybrid role will support internal IT infrastructure relevant to our ebeam metrology tool environments, and develop LabVIEW-based machine control software. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both IT systems and LabVIEW programming, with experience in hardware integration and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities:
LabVIEW Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based machine control software.
- Support debugging and troubleshooting of hardware/software interface issues.
- Maintain and optimize legacy LabVIEW code for performance and scalability.
IT Support / Infrastructure
- Manage lab IT infrastructure including servers, PCs, and networked devices.
- Perform system administration tasks (Windows/Linux), including user management, backups, and software installations.
- Support equipment connectivity, security, and data storage configurations.
- Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and tools.
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Familiar with LabVIEW software development and NI hardware, particularly:
- Object Oriented programming is a plus
- TCP/IP and Serial (RS232) communication
- NI DAQmx
- Debugging LabVIEW code
- Experience with software source control
- IT related skills
- Windows 10/11 experience – OS installation, backup and restore
- Some basic Linux exposure
- Small business network configuration and maintenance including
- Network switches and network routers configuration
- Network sharing (NAS server basics)
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Computer hardware – RAID configuration, replacing failed hardware parts
- Experience with remote access client software – Windows Remote Desktop, TeamViewer, etc.
