What You'll Do::

The Director of Culture and Development supports the overall human resources strategy by designing and implementing programs that strengthen organizational culture, improve employee engagement, and promote professional growth. This role develops training programs for staff at all levels, including a leadership development program, and uses employee feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. By conducting stay interviews, analyzing survey results, and identifying organizational needs, the Director provides actionable insights to the CHRO and leadership team, ensuring people initiatives contribute to a positive, high-performing workplace. Responsibilities include:

  • Culture and Engagement: Support the CHRO in developing initiatives that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement. Translate survey results, stay interview feedback, and workforce data into meaningful programs that create a sense of connection and shared purpose.
  • Learning and Development Programs: Create and deliver training programs that support staff at every stage of their career. Develop structured leadership development programs to prepare new and emerging leaders, while offering ongoing learning opportunities for existing managers and staff.
  • Organizational Needs and Gap Analysis: Evaluate areas of strength and weakness across the organization. Identify skills or knowledge gaps and create targeted training initiatives to close them. Partner with managers and leaders to ensure training supports both organizational goals and staff growth.
  • Employee Retention and Experience: Conduct stay interviews and analyze results to understand employee needs and motivations. Provide recommendations to the CHRO and leadership team to strengthen retention and employee satisfaction.
  • Leadership Coaching and Support: Provide tools, resources, and direct coaching to managers and leaders that improve communication, leadership skills, and team effectiveness.
  • Measurement and Reporting: Establish metrics for training and development initiatives. Regularly report on outcomes to the CHRO and recommend adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration with HR Functions: Work closely with other areas of HR, including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations, to ensure culture and development initiatives complement and strengthen overall HR strategy.
What We're Looking For::
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field required. Advanced degree or certification in organizational development, training, or leadership development preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, organizational development, training, or leadership development, with demonstrated success in designing and implementing training and culture-focused initiatives.
  • Proficiency with learning management systems, HRIS platforms, and survey tools. Knowledge of training design, adult learning theory, and organizational development best practices.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage staff at all levels.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to use employee feedback and data to guide decisions.
  • Collaborative and approachable leader who builds trust and credibility across the organization.
  • Skilled at balancing big-picture planning with hands-on program execution.
  • Adaptable and resourceful in navigating change and organizational growth.
