Position Overview:
The Assistive Technology Center in the Special Education, Language, and Literacy Department (School of Education) is seeking candidates for a student worker position. 

 

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with school districts across the state of New Jersey to provide professional development on assistive technology and technology support   
  • Complete an inventory of available assistive technology       
  • Create "Quick Guides" about AT use
  • Organize and file documents and records/data and conduct database maintenance   
  • Maintain social media pages for the center
  • Assist with device maintenance

     

Learning Objectives: 

  • Learn all current aspects of Assistive Technology methods and available equipment 
  • Development of Quick Guides for all purchased equipment as training materials

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge or interest in Assistive Technology for enhancing educational advancement for individuals who need this technology support
