About the role


As a Finance Operations Associate, you won’t just be processing transactions—you’ll be helping to lay the foundation of how our company scales. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented and curious individual to work at the intersection of finance, technology, and regulation in a lean, highly skilled team.


You’ll gain exposure to both traditional and blockchain-based financial processes, from managing day-to-day transaction flows to supporting reconciliations across fiat and crypto accounts. You’ll also collaborate closely with teams across underwriting, risk, legal, and more to support reporting, compliance, and operational excellence.


What you'll do


Financial Operations (Primary)

  • Assist with daily transaction processing, including invoices, payments, and expense management.
  • Assist with the month-end accounting processes, including bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Support reconciliations across bank accounts, crypto wallets, and internal ledgers.
  • Help prepare financial reports, management dashboards, and audit support materials.
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking projects.

Operational Support (Secondary)

  • Collaborate with teams across underwriting, risk, legal, and product to gather and organize data for financial and operational reporting.
  • Assist with operational workflows and documentation to support compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the risk and compliance team with the annual compliance assessment, including controls testing, help prepare risk and compliance reports and supervise control remediation;
  • Assist in implementing tools and systems that improve efficiency across finance and operations.
  • Provide general team support, including the coordination of projects and ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or business operations (fintech, insurance, or crypto a plus).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; exposure to accounting systems, including Xero, is helpful.
  • Experience in risk and control assessment and testing of controls;
  • Experience in digital assets and willingness to learn blockchain-based financial processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment.
