Position Duties
As a People Success Partner, you will:
- Serve as a strategic partner to assigned departments across the City.
- Provide guidance on recruitment, retention, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and more.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and City policies.
- Benchmark best practices and recommend new HR policies and processes.
- Develop and support staffing strategies to attract, retain, and promote top talent.
- Act as a first point of contact for employees while supporting directors and managers with day-to-day HR needs.
- Manage complex employee relations issues with professionalism and care.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or related field
- At least 3 years of exempt-level HR experience across core areas (employment law, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training & development)
- Advanced degree may be substituted for 1-2 years of experience
- Municipal HR experience is a plus
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License
Preferred Training & Certifications:
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SCP
- Mediation training or certification
