Role summary/ purpose:

Hands-on, process and solution focused, experienced textile Quality Assurance Manager with responsibility for investigating customer inquiries and concerns, conducting root cause analysis, and developing solutions to satisfy customers in the hospitality sector. Interfaces directly with customers and factories including 10% to 20% travel.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review, inspect, and test customer quality complaints; define, analyze, and identify root cause analysis; respond to customer inquiries and product issues with fact-based solutions
  • Partner/collaborate with internal team members in Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations, to create a customer experience that fulfills the customer’s expectations and reinforces our brand identity
  • Track quality trends by supplier, identify trends, and share with relevant parties across the business
  • Maintain, update, and manage product testing protocols, laundry guides, and care instructions
  • Participate in sourcing team and/or supplier quality, time and action and production meetings
  • Review, catalog, and test competitive products; work with merchandising on product design

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in textile industry in a quality assurance, merchandising, or operations role 
  • University degree in textile chemistry, textile engineering or similar 
  • Excellent problem solver who utilizes rigorous logic & methods to solve issues with effective & creative solutions; looks beyond the obvious
  • Analytical thinker who makes decisions based upon analysis, fact, experience, and judgment
  • Excellent communicator and focused listener who manages conflict and achieves cooperation
  • Knowledge of home textile products, constructions, and process chemistry preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial laundries a plus
