Job Description:Each week the SI (supplemental instructor) will complete the following:
- Conduct a one hour SI session each week, with an additional hour or more added prior to final project work days. The one hour session will be set based on the SI and faculty members schedules.
- 3 hours of class time (T/Th 12:20pm - 1:50pm)
- 30 minutes of preparation to review concepts covered during the week when needed.
- SI will attend each class session
- Help answer questions during class when needed
Work-study applicants will be prioritized.
Compensation and Benefits
- Rate of Pay: $15.97/hour
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
- Not eligible for health insurance benefits
- Successful completion of Mapping Our Social World (SOC/URB 295)
- Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to break down GIS concepts and explain work-flow and data management practices
- Able to support a variety of student learning styles
