Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

The Family Medicine Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient care for clients enrolled in all CHA programs under the supervision of CHA physicians. This includes Family Medicine, Women's Health (Maternal Health, Family Planning, SUN), Pediatrics (Child Health, Pediatric Primary Care), and Communicable Disease (STD, TB, RISE) programs. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Performs physical exams, orders and interprets appropriate lab tests, prescribes medications, and other treatments for patients seen in Cabarrus Health Alliance clinics and programs 
  • Maintains appropriate documentation 
  • Provides consultation during normal operation hours, and after hours as needed 
  • Assists in developing new programs or service delivery, when appropriate
  • May supervise/precept residents, interns, and/or PA/NP students, as needed
  • Supports quality improvement initiatives within clinical services 

Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner program with preferably at least 2 years of experience within a primary care clinical setting providing care to pediatric and adult patients. 

Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
