Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned HR Analyst of Talent Management to join our Human Resources department.
The HR Analyst of Talent Management will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children’s Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.
We are seeking a proactive and analytical HR Analyst to support the Talent Management function through strategic insights, operational excellence, and program execution. This role is instrumental in driving initiatives that enhance workforce planning, performance enablement, leadership development, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management skills, experience in content creation and HR systems, and a strategic mindset to help shape and scale talent programs across the organization. The HR analyst will report to the Managing Director of Talent Management and Talent Development.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR, talent management, or workforce analytics.
Who you are
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with HRIS and LMS platforms (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone, LearnUpon, Lattice).
- Strong writing and content development skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Passionate about the mission of Harlem Children's Zone.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level talent management initiatives is preferred.
- Certification in HR analytics, project management, or talent strategy (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, PMP, HCI) is preferred.
- Familiarity with instructional design models and adult learning principles is preferred.
- Exposure to knowledge management systems and practices is preferred.
What you'll do
Talent Strategy & Program Management
- Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and career development.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications for cross-functional initiatives.
- Monitor program effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on data and feedback.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret talent data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to visualize key metrics such as retention, mobility, and performance outcomes.
- Partner with People Analytics to align reporting with broader HR and business goals.
Content Development & Knowledge Management
- Create and curate content for talent programs, including toolkits, guides, and digital learning assets.
- Maintain internal knowledge repositories and ensure accessibility and relevance of materials.
- Apply instructional design principles to support scalable and engaging content delivery.
HR Systems & Operational Support
- Administer and optimize talent-related systems (e.g., Workday, LMS platforms, Lattice) to support performance reviews, goal setting, and development planning.
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT and vendors for resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Talent Reviews & Succession Planning
- Support the execution of talent reviews and succession planning processes.
- Facilitate assessments and use tools such as the 9-box model to evaluate talent potential and readiness.
- Collaborate with HR leaders to identify critical roles and build development plans for successors.
Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Alignment
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, department leaders, and cross-functional teams to align talent initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform talent strategy.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent management, workforce development, and employee experience.
