Our Construction Attorney will work out of SitelogIQ Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN with the option to be hybrid. This opportunity works with our leaders, customers and contractors to make buildings better. We are searching for a self-motivated and talented Construction Attorney to join our expanding legal team. This individual will help advise, negotiate and draft contract terms for teams primarily focused on the Midwest, with California, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Tennessee, and additional states as we continue to grow.
Target Salary: $135,000 - $175,000+ depending on experience
Construction Attorney Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to develop new project models, new markets, and new initiatives.
- Integrate new acquisitions.
- Draft professional services, energy savings and related agreements for construction company for contracting with public entities and commercial and industrial customers.
- Draft agreements for our proprietary software.
- Draft and negotiate subcontractor, vendor agreements, NDAs, lease agreements, and various other agreements as needed.
- Liaison with IT on Contract Lifecycle Management system processes and procedures
- Advise on statutory compliance for public contracting and licensing.
- Maintain knowledge of public contracting requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
- Other special projects and duties as assigned.
Construction Attorney Qualifications:
- JD with a license to practice law
- 7+ years’ experience negotiation construction contracts with customers, subcontractors, professional service consultants and vendors.
- Familiarity with AIA documents
- Experience with contract lifecycle management system.
- Legal training and experience in construction law and public entity contracting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines.
- Direct contact with clients, counterparties, and attorneys.
- Strong relationship building.
