Description:  

Perform a variety of general maintenance and maintenance repair duties at all branch locations. Perform all duties in conformity with applicable regulations and established bank policies and procedures. Work under limited supervision with moderate latitude for independent judgement.


 Essential Duties:  

  • Perform general maintenance and minor repair work, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform other maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs for all inside and outside lighting; remove trash from parking lots and around bank facilities; dispose of trash at some locations; change HV/AC filters at some locations; perform periodic pest control; power wash facilities as needed.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
  • Maintain an electronic log of maintenance requests and when completed.
  • Install marketing and advertising materials and displays as needed.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to transport supplies and maintain branch facilities.
  • Conduct first security walk through of headquarters building before personnel arrive.
  • Conduct weekly facility inspections at all branches to check for any maintenance problems; take appropriate action on any noted items to ensure the work safety of all employees.
  • Responsible for warehouse - ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for contractors/vendors and employee traffic; first contact for any deliveries, shipments to Headquarters; maintain physical inventory; review expendable supplies utilized and report to the appropriate manager when reorder points are reached; stock supply shelves when needed; always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.
  • Maintain document storage area and coordinate the timely destruction of confidential bank information.
  • Set up and remove equipment, supplies, and furniture for bank events.

Marginal Functions: 

  • Change flags out on flag poles on a routine basis; lower flags to half-staff when required.
  • Sweep walks, remove snow/ice, prep employee and customer entrances for inclement weather; perform other incidental seasonal tasks (holiday decorations, lights).
  • On an as needed basis, sweeps, vacuums, mops, and scrubs; using ladder, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings, dusts and polishes light fixtures. 
  • Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment.
  • May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Other duties as required.

Bank Secrecy Act Duties:

  • In the performance of respective tasks and duties, this position must maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security, and Bank policies and procedures.

The employee is also expected to maintain a commitment to continuing education in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside training opportunities in all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is expected, and appropriate attire is required at all times, while either performing job functions or representing the Bank at outside events and activities.

Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years of recent related work experience. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license. Personal motor vehicle to be used in transporting supplies and maintaining branch facilities (mileage reimbursed).

Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand instructions.
  • Ability to use various power and hand tools very efficiently and actively.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to diplomatically, yet effectively, communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of Bank staff, customers, and other related parties.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail; follow-through.
  • Self-reliance; resourcefulness
