Description

Seasonal, Non-Union, Non-Exempt Position

$16.50 per hour, 40 hours per week

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm


BASIC FUNCTION OF INVOICE CLERK:

Ensure that accurate payments for deliverable fuel deliveries are made and credited to the clients’ accounts and to the proper vendors in a reasonable time frame. Provide referrals to ineligible clients to alternative assistance programs. Also provide referrals to clients who have exhausted their deliverable fuel benefits to other assistance programs.  


RESPONSIBILITIES OF INVOICE CLERK:

  • Ensure payments to vendors are within 10 days of receipt of bill
  • Involved in implementation of Energy Assistance Program
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and vendors and utility representatives
  • Determine if deliveries took place within the proper time frame
  • Coordinate fuel delivery requests with other staff members

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF INVOICE CLERK:


Education:

High School Diploma or GED 

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of office experience and dealing with the public
  • Knowledge of Energy Assistance Program

Job Skills:

  • Ability to work with a variety of people.  
  • Capability to multi-task & excellent telephone skills.
  • Good organization skills    
  • Good written and verbal skills.  
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment
