This role offers a unique opportunity to lead sealed system and foaming process development for Cedar Rapids Site. You’ll work cross-functionally to support the launch of new equipment and processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering SME for sealed system and foaming processes.
- Plan and conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates related to equipment location, workflow, and labor balancing.
- Organize and support activities involving tube bending, brazing, helium leak testing, refrigerant charging, and foaming.
- Lead start up activities for sealed system and foaming process.
- Design and implement efficient workstation and work cell layouts to optimize manpower and floor space.
- Lead the transition of tooling and equipment into production, including program transfer, lessons learned, and training.
- Facilitate collaboration between Manufacturing Engineering and Business Units to promote best practices in sealed system and foaming equipment usage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues related to design, materials, or processes.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality and industry standards.
- Solicit and analyze feedback from internal and external customers to drive process, quality, and safety improvements.
