Job Title: Maintenance Technical Specialist
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Status: Exempt

Job Type: Onsite full time
Job Summary:
Provide expert support for equipment repairs, assist with equipment and facility improvements and lead projects that enhance safety, quality and operational efficiencies. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Provide technical support for maintenance teams in diagnosing and repairing equipment. Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of equipment and facility improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Conduct training sessions work maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of equipment operation.
- Champion and lead various projects focused on improving safety, quality, operations across the facility.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality and safety to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance procedures, equipment manuals and troubleshooting guides.
- Ensure compliance with company and government safety standards and regulations during all repairs, maintenance and improvement activities.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
· 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· 3 or more years’ experience in leadership preferred.

Computer Skills:
· Basic excel and word programs. Will be required to complete work orders in within a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
Mathematical Abilities:
Intermediate-advanced math skills.
Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
· Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.
· Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions
Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)
· Ability to read, write and speak English
· Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures
· Bilingual English-Spanish preferred

· Demonstrated experience in leading safety, quality, and operational improvement projects
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
· Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automation systems.
· Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
· Experience with computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds.
- Be able to work in an environment that is climate controlled but is exposed to potential heat, rain, and cold.
- 80% of the time will be spent in the tooling shop and 20% of the time on the production floor completing work related to the position.
