Description
Quincy Credit Union is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and engaging Training and Development Specialist to lead the creation and facilitation of training programs across our Credit Union. In this role, you will play a key part in onboarding new hires, delivering sales and service training, and supporting employee development across all departments.
You’ll work closely with the Human Resources and Retail leadership teams to ensure employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed—while delivering outstanding service to our members.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Facilitation
- Develop and deliver training programs covering systems, policies, procedures, compliance, and operational tasks.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding with a focus on both transactional training and culture integration.
- Provide sales and service training, including product knowledge, referral techniques, and service excellence.
- Continually enhance training programs to align with business objectives and evolving needs.
Learning Needs & Performance Analysis
- Identify skill and knowledge gaps through assessments, observations, and feedback.
- Recommend targeted training solutions to drive individual and team performance.
Program Development & Innovation
- Collaborate with managers to identify learning trends and areas for growth.
- Stay up to date with best practices in adult learning and training delivery methods.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Partner with Human Resources to support employee engagement activities and initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture.
Evaluation & Recordkeeping
- Maintain detailed training records and track employee participation.
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback and performance outcomes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in training, employee development, or instructional facilitation.
- Strong background in sales and service training, ideally in a retail banking or financial services setting.
- Energetic, outgoing, and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and motivating others.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
