Description
An excellent opportunity exists to work for a government contractor with competitive compensation and work-life balance. Posterity Group is seeking experienced Virtual/Remote Inpatient Pharmacist with the Northport NY VA Medical Center.
Duties and Response times include, but are not limited to:
- Pharmacists are required during off-tour hours when the inpatient pharmacy is not staffed. The Virtual Pharmacist must perform services between 0000-0600 hrs. - 365 days, including weekends and holidays.
- The total hours required are 2,190
- Contractors shall provide professional virtual pharmacy services to complete pending clinic and outpatient prescription orders in the Urgent Care Department of the Northport VA.
- Contractor shall provide enough licensed Pharmacists to verify remote prescription order review/order entry services for inpatient pharmacy services.
- This includes the professional review and problem-solving needed to ensure safe and appropriate medication processing.
- The contractor shall provide pharmacists, technical support personnel, medical and telecommunication equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform and implement virtual pharmacy services to meet the needs of the Northport VA.
- The contractor must be a U.S.-based corporation capable of providing remote pharmacy services to be completed via a secure web-based system provided by the contractor.
- Contractor personnel must be credentialed and remain in good standing with the VA. The Contractor can present multiple candidates for credentialing as backup pharmacists.
Requirements
- Pharmacists must be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college or school of pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
- All pharmacists must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Valid BLS
- at least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
