About the Role:

The Senior Brand Director will spearhead the development and execution of long-term brand and commercial strategies, as well as the innovation pipeline, for the Heineken Franchise in the US. This role is critical as the brand seeks to regain its momentum in premium segment by reassessing current strategies and activities, and laying a solid foundation for sustained growth.

She/he will collaborate closely with local teams—including Marketing functions, Revenue Management, Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, and Sales—as well as regional and global stakeholders, to develop, measure, and refine both brand and commercial strategies. A key responsibility is to provide clear guidance on how to bring the brand to life for American consumers through all aspects of the marketing mix (the 4Ps).

The Senior Brand Director will also be accountable for tracking and reporting brand performance indicators, delivering actionable insights that keep stakeholders informed and drive necessary actions. This person will serve as the primary resource for business analyses.

Additionally, she/he will lead the development of the innovation and renovation pipeline for the Heineken brand, collaborating mainly with the global innovation team and local partners.

Strong leadership through radical collaboration—building bridges, not silos—is essential for shaping and executing world-class brand strategies across all Heineken markets.

While the primary focus is to lead the business strategy, experience in CPG is required, and knowledge of brand building and communications is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the long-term strategy and the creation of playbooks that define how the brand positioning should manifest for American consumers
  • Guide and support internal stakeholders at bringing the strategy directions to life in their functions.
  • Lead the development of SPs (Strategic 3Y plans) and APs (Annual Plans) for Heineken franchise
  • Execute business plan to deliver brand objectives in collaboration with commercial stakeholders (Regional sales and commercial teams)
  • Manage the implementation, tracking and measurement of all A/BTL initiatives to drive consumer penetration throughout the US, sourcing market-level insights from the organization and supporting locally relevant business needs.
  • Develop and execute price, pack and channel architecture across all markets
  • Develop and execute an innovation and renovation pipeline for Heineken brand
  • Lead and develop recurrent business analysis to inform commercial decisions
  • Collaborate with its peers – Director of Heineken Original Integrated Communications and Director of Heineken 0.0 and Silver – at developing solid strategies and executing seamless plans.
  • Collect and use data to inform new commercial strategies and the evaluation of existing ones
  • Manage 2 direct reports

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in CPG marketing.
  • Ability to distill diverse and ambiguous quantitative and qualitative data sources into strong, sharp and actionable insights
  • Ability to be concise and break complex problems into actionable parts
  • Proven track record of successful strategy development and implementation in CPG categories
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Deep understanding of penetration based marketing and proven ability to develop initiatives that drive household penetration
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willing to bring new out of the box ideas with test and learn approach
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills

  • Experience interfacing and managing a cross-cultural/functional team
  • Beverage industry knowledge
  • Experience in brand building/communication and innovation
