Join our Team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Learning Opportunities Quality Works!  We are looking for someone to provide a positive role model and mentorship, to fill our full time position.

Key Responsibilities:

As a DSP, you will provide essential support to individuals with IDD, helping them lead independent, fulfilling lives. Your role  includes:

  • Provide direct on-the-job support/coaching to employees with disabilities in assisting with developing their work related skills.
  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor, offering guidance based on personal and professional experience.
  • Provide constant line-of-sight supervision to ensure client safety and support.
  • Promoting independence and skill-building in a respectful and empowering manner.
  • Advocating for individuals’ rights, choices, and well-being.

Requirements

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required with work experience, prefer 4 year degree from accredited college.
  • Must have a current valid driver's license and be willing to obtain a Class E (Chauffeur's) license immediately upon hire. 
  • Must possess a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to pass all appropriate and required background screenings.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate the needs of our customers.
  • Ability to use technology to complete required documentation. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team.
  • Proven experience working directly with individuals in a support or mentorship capacity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
