Under limited supervision, responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.” Ensures a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors to participate in the resident’s daily life rhythm. Supervises and coordinates nursing services, trains team members, accountable for the work unit’s adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as maintaining medical records.
Schedule:
Full-Time: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday
Shift: 8am -4pm; Flexible
**Range $32.00 - $44.50 (DOE)**
Work Duties:
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our “Philosophy for Person-Directed Care.” Additional essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision making processes
- Responds to emergency situations, carries out physician orders, and documents the event, interventions, and outcomes
- Actively engages residents in participation in daily activities which are part of resident’s rhythm of daily life (including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility)
- Assesses resident’s needs at the time of admission and continually evaluates residents’ condition during the duration of their stay and promotes the highest functional level of independence possible (keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations, and the community’s safety procedures
- Coordinates the residents’ plan of care with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), physicians, medical personnel, and resident’s family/responsible party
- Interacts with other departments such as laboratory, radiology, dietary, facilities, information technology, pharmacy, social services, activities, etc.
- Makes necessary documentation corrections as a result of medical record audits
- Assists in providing Resident and family education
- Provides training and education to team members.
- Handles all admission inquiries when either the Admissions Coordinator or Director of Nursing is not available.
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- Current RN license (or obtaining within 90 days) in the state for which applying
- Current CPR certification
- Prior nursing experience: senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care preferred
- Minimum of 1 year professional managerial experience in related field
- Clinical observation an assessment skills
