Join Our Team as an Early Childhood Lead Teacher!

Are you passionate about sparking curiosity, nurturing growth, and building joyful learning experiences for young children?
Our vibrant, play-based Jewish Early Childhood Center is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Lead Teacher to join our warm and collaborative team of educators.

This is the perfect opportunity for an energetic individual who loves working with young children and has a strong foundation in early childhood development. In this role, you’ll:

  • Foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
  • Use observation and reflection to guide lesson planning and goal setting tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Partner with families through open, supportive communication to strengthen the home–school connection.
  • Our Curriculum Director provides ongoing support and guidance in implementing our curricular philosophy.
     

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that inspire exploration, creativity, and growth.
     
  • Establish classroom routines that encourage a positive, inclusive, and joyful learning environment.
     
  • Guide children’s social and emotional development with constructive, compassionate classroom management.
     
  • Collaborate with lead teachers, parents, and the ECC Administration to support children’s unique needs.
     
  • Maintain clear documentation and actively participate in school-wide events, meetings, and conferences.
     
  • Work closely with the Child Development Specialist to ensure every child feels supported and successful.
     


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
  • Recent negative TB Test (required)
  • CPR and First Aid (preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's Degree in early education/related field (required)
  • Minimum of five years classroom experience with children birth to five

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
  • Must be able to kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Employees may also be subject to body fluids and odors.


EXPECTATIONS

  • This is a 12-month (year-round) position
