About the Position
A successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates will ideally operate in a collaborative and independent environment. This position requires a self-starter who can initiate research and identify efficiencies in workflow organization and execution. Meeting deadlines must be a top priority. Candidates should be comfortable asking questions and initiating conversations with subject matter experts. A successful candidate will be familiar with the AP Stylebook while being open to custom writing and formatting preferences that meet customer needs. Candidates should possess knowledge in Microsoft 365. This position is in-person.
Salary: $45-$65,000 annual
Required Travel: None.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret clearance or higher.

Primary Duties
- Collaborate with a lead editor, the QA/QC team, subject matter experts, and other key stakeholders to write and edit technical documentation according to a customized deliverables lifecycle, including internal procedures, customer deliverables, and more.
- Ensure technical documentation meets industry standards and company or customer style guides.
- Translate technical information into accurate content for a wide ranging audience.
- Proofread technical documentation across all company departments.
- Create templates and develop boilerplate text for technical documentation.
- Maintain and update document versions through archival and filing practices.
Requirements
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 0 to 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience with Microsoft products required.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to acquire a DOD Secret clearance or higher.
