Objective of job:

  • This position is responsible for and not limited to, supoorting automation engineering, process engineering, maintenance and production in complex automation topics, process topics, troubleshooting complex downtime related issues in all assembly related processes. While supporting in optimizing productivity of existing and upcoming programs. Ensuring that production processes are followed and they are reliable. 

 

 

Principal activities:

  • Support Automation Engineering and process engineering, production and maintenance in complex manufacturing issues whether it be automation, process, material, or machine functionality related.
  • Understand how Process Engineering reduces cycle times and increases efficiency of automated equipment.
  • Assist in program start-ups. How to better processes and improve OEE.
  • Understand new technologies to enable DAA to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing.
  • Aid Process Engineering & Automation in projects. (Fixturing, Tooling) While learning and assisting in complex Automation issues and projects.
  • Be able to troubleshoot complex automation, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic issues
  • Responsible to work with support departments in scheduling and reporting of trials.
  • Collect SPC data on key processes and work with Production Engineering on results.
  • Modify and access process parameters within process data sheet and communicating with the process engineer
  • Asset with updating and maintaining equipment drawings and any other documentation needed.
  • Assist in backing up robots, PLC’s, varies screw gun controllers. Backing up and restoring any device or equipment.
  • Understand and assist with any vision camera / station barcode readers, laser sensors and software.
  • Be able to submit RFQ’s and Shopping Carts.
  • 5% Travel is required.

 

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Machine Tool or Electronics and Automation preferred. Not required. 
  • 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing experience. 
  • 1 to 2 years of Automotive Manufacturing experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of Automotive/Industrial Maintenance required. 
  • 1 to 2 years of Machine tool expereince.
