Job Summary:
As a key member of the adult residential program, the Program Director/QIDP is responsible for ensuring appropriate services to the individuals of the program in accordance to the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) licensure standards. In this leadership and supervisory role, successful candidates will ensure program QIDP and Social Services staff meet the standards of Little Friends, Inc. and DHS to make sure services are being carried out to best meet the needs of each individual served.
The Program Director will be responsible for but not limited to the following with supervision from the VP of Residential Services:
- Maintain knowledge of the mission, values, and goals of Little Friends, Inc. and make sure these are embedded throughout the Residential Program
- will be knowledgeable of and ensure the program's compliance with all administrative policies and procedures of Little Friends, Inc.
- will assure that all staff receives appropriate training as required by the DHS/DCFS licensure regulations.
- will ensure that a written evaluation of each staff member's performance is prepared annually.
- will directly evaluate the performance of staff who report to the Director as defined on the Community Living Services organizational chart.
- will ensure the completion of all forms as required by DHS/DCFS according to established deadlines, including but not limited to, ICAP's, Implementation Strategies, HRST and others which may be required in the future to ensure the funding and placement of the individuals and program
- will ensure that appropriate services to individuals meet needs and complete any necessary reports.
- will co-chair regular staff meetings and chair quarterly BSC meetings
- will visit CLS sites and individuals on a routine basis
- Shall attend all in-service training sessions to expand knowledge of the individual with developmental disabilities, current modes of treatment, and social topics. Will maintain CEUs in accordance with state requirements for QIDP.
- will complete on-call responsibilities rotating with other directors within the residential program
- will complete all tasks assigned consistent with the overseeing of the CLS program required by the Vice President of Residential Services

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education, psychology, or related field with at least 5 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Requires 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- QIDP preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid State of Illinois Driver’s License, insurance, and have a good driving record
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
