MCHC is looking for a caring, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our collaborative primary care healthcare team. In this role, you’ll support providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. What You’ll Do:

  • Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs and health information
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice
  • Administer medications and vaccines in accordance with provider orders and within the Medical Assistant scope of practice
  • Perform routine tests (such as vision and hearing screenings) and assist with lab specimens
  • Maintain accurate documentation using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations
  • Provide clear patient education and support as directed by the provider
  • Participate in team huddles, trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts
  • Occasionally travel to support other MCHC sites as needed
  • Gain experience by cross training in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry and specialty services.

Requirements


  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
