Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our company’s fleet of vehicles to include both light duty and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
The Fleet Manager’s responsibilities include maintaining detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspection, scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency, and organizing repair procedures.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, has in-depth knowledge of all types of vehicles, and is familiar with all legal requirements for fleet operation and management.

Responsibilities
- Overseeing the purchase and maintenance of fleet vehicles
- Managing all aspects of vehicle operation, including licensing, insurance, and warranty
- Planning and scheduling regular vehicle and rig maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for vehicle use and maintenance
- Managing and tracking fuel consumption and expenses
- Coordinating with drivers and branches to ensure optimal performance and address any issues
- Ensuring compliance with government rules and regulations related to fleet management
- Keeping accurate records of vehicle use and maintenance
- Organizing vehicle replacements and disposal when necessary
- Training staff in safe and efficient vehicle operation
- Managing a fleet staff to ensure efficiency in scheduling and work orders
- Utilizing GPS systems to monitor drivers and track vehicles
- Negotiating and approving contracts and agreements with vehicle vendors
- Manage work order system
- Optimize vehicle usage, track fuel consumption, and manage vehicle acquisition and disposal
- Provide roadside assistance and emergency repairs as needed to minimize vehicle downtime and disruptions
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle issues and assess overall performance.
- Interpret diagnostic data to determine the necessary repairs or maintenance actions.
- Manage a team of mechanics and be willing to perform repairs or diagnostics if needed.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Fleet Manager, Shop Manager, or similar role
- 3 years minimum in HEAVY EQUIPMENT (mobile drill rigs and tractor repair experience)
- Certified diesel mechanic with heavy machinery experience is desired
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and operations
- Ability to effectively manage schedules
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of fleet management software
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Must be able to manage time effectively and meet/beat deadlines
- Clean MVR, background and drug screening
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must be a self-starter, reliable, and come with a good and humble attitude
