We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Process Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in process analysis, documentation, and improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency across the organization, both domestically and internationally. The intern will work closely with the Business Process team and cross-functional partners to gain exposure to real-world business operations and contribute to meaningful projects. This position works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position. This is a paid internship.

This position reports to the Business Process Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completion of company overview training.
  • Management of assigned projects.
  • Assist in analyzing current business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Develop or update process documentation including, but not limited to, process narratives, flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and reference guides.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking to recommend best practices.
  • Collect and analyze data to support decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement small-scale process changes and track results.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative and project support as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies

Employment Eligibility & Verification:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point. Experience with Scribe and Visio is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Good time management.

    Working Conditions

    The general working conditions for this position is an office environment. It will be necessary from time to time to visit the warehouse where safety precautions will need to be taken. While in the office, the noise level is usually low. However, the noise level can be low to moderate in the warehouse.

    Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items up to 10 pounds.
