GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
As a Production Team Member, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging bulk high-quality food while maintaining food safety, cleanliness standards, and properly following recipes. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cooking: Operate kitchen equipment such as large cooking equipment and warehouse equipment to cook food in large quantities. Ensure food prep, recipes, and instructions are followed accurately.
- Packaging: Efficiently package food for delivery, ensuring proper portioning and presentation for bulk orders. Ensure date labels are accurate and placed on each product.
- Quality Control: Monitor cooking processes and taste dishes to ensure they meet quality standards before packaging. Ensure food is properly chilled and stored.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control, including tracking ingredients and supplies, and notifying management of any shortages. Record number of bags and use the First in First Out method.
- Sanitation Practices: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines. Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes. Take out the trash to an appropriate location.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of bulk orders.

- Education/Certification:
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
- Food Handler permit.
- Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a bulk or high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to weigh and measure food accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
- Finger dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.
- Talking: Especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
- Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
