Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT Project Management Office, ensuring projects and programs are aligned to enterprise priorities, executed with discipline, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Develop and mature delivery frameworks, tools, and standards to support agile, hybrid, and product-based execution models.
  • Drive execution cadence and visibility through consistent portfolio health tracking, milestone management, and value-based KPIs.
  • Enable collaboration across product owners, platform leads, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure coordinated delivery and integrated planning.
  • Support platform/application teams by aligning project execution with platform lifecycles, roadmaps, and business readiness needs.
  • Establish lightweight, effective governance and data-driven processes that improve transparency, prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Facilitate executive-level visibility into delivery progress, risks, and value realization, enabling timely course corrections and resource alignment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement, coaching project managers and delivery teams to adopt modern practices.
  • Serve as a change champion supporting our One Lubrizol delivery mindset – standardized platforms, scalable processes, and high agility across regions.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team of project managers, delivery professionals, aligned with our culture of innovation and performance.
  • Engage with vendor partners to align external resources to internal delivery cadences and platform expectations.
  • Facilitate open, transparent communication among project participants to support issue resolution and drive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in IT project/program management, with exposure to platform or application delivery.
  • Proven leadership of PMO or delivery functions in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with agile and hybrid project methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, MS Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, ServiceNow).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, sequence, and deliver complex initiatives through cross-functional alignment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting platform or application lifecycle delivery, with understanding of enterprise IT platforms and digital systems.
  • Experience in vendor management and strategic partnership.
  • Strong influencing skill and ability to lead through collaboration in matrixed, global environments.

Preferred Certifications and Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile certifications (SAFe, Scrum Master, etc.), or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks.

Work Environment & Additional Information

  • This is a hybrid role.
  • This role may require occasional travel for team management or vendor engagement.
  • Must be able to work flexibly across time zones to coordinate a global team.
  • Reports to the IT Sr Director or equivalent executive leader.
  • Expected to be a change advocate and champion of continuous improvement.
