The role:
We are looking for a Cyber Governance & Compliance Junior Analyst to join our growing security team. This role will focus on internal audits, managing compliance tools, responding to customer security questionnaires, and supporting ongoing initiatives to maintain and improve our cybersecurity posture.
As our organization has made significant progress in the past year, this position will play a key role in sustaining and expanding our governance and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn from a hands-on mentorship experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits and assist in maintaining team compliance.
- Manage our Drata instance alongside the Cybersecurity Lead.
- Respond to information security and cybersecurity questionnaires from clients.
- Assist in preparation for upcoming audits, including ISO 27001 and SOC2.
- Maintain compliance documentation, evidence libraries, and support security operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure security policies, training, and device compliance are up to date.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity, governance, and compliance concepts.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable learning and using compliance tools such as Drata.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese.
- Proactive attitude, willing to ask questions and learn on the job.
Nice-to-Have
- Previous experience in security operations, audits, or compliance.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC2, or similar frameworks.
- Experience interacting with clients regarding security or compliance.
