The role:

This role is ideal for a high-potential candidate who wishes to be rewarded for strong performance while gaining valuable international business experience on large-scale mobile marketing projects.

The position is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the client relationship: act as the key point of contact between the client and Upstream, managing expectations, securing satisfaction, and maintaining strong day-to-day communication.
  • Commercial ownership of the account: contribute to account planning and target achievement; lead contract negotiations and closing; monitor performance; maintain account P&L; support reconciliations, invoicing, and payments.
  • Coordinate operational resources and ensure operational delivery, including regulatory requirements, supplier contracts, and recruitment channels; be accountable for client deliverables and local market inputs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project plans are executed on time and with high quality.
  • Monitor performance: KPIs, sales funnel, channels, deliverables activities.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling within own projects and expanding Upstream’s services to other departments
  • Identify local partners and product opportunities.
  • Constantly monitor the competitive landscape and detect potential risks

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-driven, and flexible, with the following qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing.
  • 5-8 years of work experience in consulting, marketing, telecoms, or technology.
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
  • Excellent client-facing and negotiation skills.
  • Solid quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding, fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking and innovation.
  • Solid understanding of the mobile, web, and digital advertising industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Results-driven.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable in a field that combines technology, marketing, and consumer behavior.
  • International perspective and cultural awareness.
  • Experience with mobile operators and its core business will be considered a plus.

  • Experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Experience in business development, account management, or B2B client support.
  • Marketing mindset and creative capability.
  • Availability for travel.
