Your role

As a Senior Civil Design Engineer in our Land Infrastructure Team, you'll guide purposeful work that supports the future of the land infrastructure sector. Collaborating with a diverse, multidisciplinary team, you’ll explore integrated solutions, offer thoughtful perspectives, and partner with clients to help them build a more sustainable world.

What you’ll be doing

  • Technical Leader – whilst the role can be tailored to your strengths, this role is for an engineer that can take a lead role on civil design infrastructure projects, maintaining involvement from the bid stage through to design and ultimate successful project delivery. 
  • Supporting development – work with a team of civil engineers, designers and drafters to contribute to the design and construction of civil infrastructure across a broad range of private and government projects.
  • Client facing – be supported into a client leader role where you will be encouraged to both grow your network and deliver innovative solutions to best fit a client’s needs.
  • Personal growth – grow your technical skills and leadership abilities within the team with guidance from the large Aurecon support network.
  • Collaborating across disciplines – work closely with a range of engineers across Aurecon to explore creative and efficient solutions to project needs. 
  • Providing insights with care – share well-informed guidance that supports confident, inclusive decision-making within the Land Infrastructure team.

What you’ll bring

You blend technical knowledge with empathy and big-picture thinking. You're someone who thrives in dynamic environments, builds meaningful connections, and is motivated by purposeful work. You’ll also have:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 6+ years of proven design and management experience in road, earthworks, drainage, and general civil infrastructure projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of key client design standards, including Main Roads WA, Public Transport Authority, mining clients, Local Government Authorities, and Service Authorities
  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills in complex multi-disciplinary environments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines while delivering high-quality work
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks, including those of other team members, efficiently
  • Proficiency in using software such as 12D and AutoCAD (desired but not essential)
  • Relevant on-site credentials (e.g. white card) and a valid driver’s licence
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable but not essential)
