Challenger is launching an innovative retirement solution designed to deliver more personalised and flexible outcomes for customers. This is a high-visibility role. Your work will directly shape how new products are delivered at scale and ensure meaningful outcomes for customers.
What you’ll do
Manage the project lifecycle: oversee the end-to-end delivery of early-stage integration and transformation projects, from kick-off to close, ensuring alignment with scope, objectives, and business outcomes.
Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery: plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines and budget targets, managing resources efficiently across Challenger teams and strategic partners.
Program governance and risk management: establish and maintain project controls, including risk/issue registers, dependencies, governance forums, and status reporting.
Influence and guide senior stakeholders: engage and influence internal teams, external partners, and executives, providing clear recommendations and options to support timely, informed decision-making.
Enhance customer experience: maintain focus on delivering outcomes that improve customer experience, continuously assessing needs and ensuring solutions are practical and impactful.
Data analysis and reporting: leverage project metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track progress, highlight risks, and inform decision-making.
Continuous improvement: capture lessons learned and insights to strengthen project delivery capability and improve future initiatives.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience as a Project Manager (5 Years +), managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects in financial services.
Strong influencing and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills
Confidence in engaging senior executives, influencing decisions, and balancing competing priorities.
Comfortable with ambiguity, early-stage delivery, and shifting priorities.
Maintains focus under pressure, navigates complex and evolving situations with flexibility, and drives solutions to overcome obstacles.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Agile/PRINCE2).
