Your opportunity

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be involved in completion of processes associated with month end, quarter end and annual reporting of financial information. Working side by side with people who go the extra mile, you’ll also love the feeling of helping children and adults who need us. Your tasks will include the following:

  • Completion of allocated balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting, tax (including FBT), accounting standards and all other related legislation that affects Hearing Australia
  • Maintain the accounting for all lease AASB16 transactions.
  • Preparation of the 6 monthly reporting pack and annual reporting to the Department of Finance for the Annual Actuals and budget.
  • Assist and provide accounting guidance (based on sound technical accounting principles) to the team and other departments as required.
  • Execute monthend and yearend closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate postings of journal entries and reporting.
  • Carry out process improvements and be key in the maintenance of excellent internal controls in and around our new systems, Microsoft Dynamics (D365)

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge a completed CPA/CA.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role (medium to large companies)

  • Strong written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Up to date with statutory requirements and accounting standards issued by professional accounting bodies and/or government agencies.
