Interim Financial Director opportunity, responsible for finance function. Reporting to the CEO and managing a team of four. The interim role is to cover maternity leave of the Finance Director, for a period to 9/12 months, including handover period.
Management reporting:
- Manage the budget and forecasting process. Includes ongoing reporting on revenue forecast, working closely with the sales team
- Contribute to the ongoing process of improving the quality of key information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the creation and implementation of the group's financial reporting pack
- Prepare and consolidate accurate group management accounts to ensure key information is provided to internal and external stakeholders in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Responsible for the provision of insightful working capital and cashflow forecasting.
- Maintain relationships with shareholders
Statutory and tax reporting:
- Manage the statutory finance and tax reporting requirements for the Group.
- Manage the annual statutory audit process ensuring that the finance department provides accurate and timely information to the auditors.
Financial processes:
- Maintain a robust financial control environment, ensuring that risks are adequately mitigated via appropriate controls and processes.
- Responsible for the finance system and act as the key point person with operations and IT on the support of all finance systems and reporting tools.
- Ad-hoc project work.
Requirements
Skills and Experience
- Qualified ACA / ACCA accountant with 7 + years post qualified experience
- Previous interim FD role experience, including working in fast growing SMEs
- Ability to think strategically but also prepared to be involved in the detail when required.
