Summary:

The Production Control Assistant II oversees a variety of complex operations and duties in the production area, including but not limited to; monitoring and ensuring operations execution to the daily production schedule. Monitors accuracy of run times on BOMs vs actual production rates, manages movement of shop orders and reviews floor stocked inventory locations to ensure inventory meets the upcoming scheduled work. This position will work to resolve labor and material resource scheduling conflicts, monitor schedule interruptions and work to proactively prevent future interruptions, monitor the master schedule and ensure comprehensive compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate schedules, travelers, flow sheets and other tools for tracking Work In Progress (WIP); generate WIP Master report regarding status of hardware; generate work orders using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Flag production problems and coordinate resolution through appropriate support and management personnel
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving
  • Ensure that all materials, supplies, and equipment received for production are processed and distributed in a timely manner to the production department
  • Assist production department with processing orders
  • Work with Quality and Production teams to identify areas for process improvement
  • Coordinate with logistics resources as required
  • Maintain production goals and metrics and communicate production issues at daily production meetings
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in area of responsibility.
  • High School Diploma or GED

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $19.05 - $23.35 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
