The Lāna‘i Bowl Team Member is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests and creating a fun, seamless experience at the venue. Duties include food and beverage, bowling lounge and arcade service. Responsible for the applicable checks and POS opening and closing. processing transactions and ensuring timely and accurate service.
Compensation:
$16.00 - $18.00/hour (non-exempt)

Reports to: Assistant Manager, General Manager

Responsibilities
Essential Duties
Food & Beverage:
Responsible for proper set up of the room, including tables and kitchen work area. Sets up assigned station (i.e. utensils, cups, etc.). Wipes down and sanitizes tables, chairs and tablets.
Responsible for being thoroughly familiar with the entire menu and daily specials.
Receives food and beverage orders and rings them up under the POS number according to established procedures. Picks up food and beverage orders and serves it to guests. Preps and serves beverages to guests.
Remains accountable for all checks, and for handling all checks according to established procedures.
Assists other Counter Servers whenever possible.
Ensures that all assigned side work is completed.
Responsible for continuous cleaning of station throughout shift; resets tables as needed.
Responsible for cleaning station after closing.
Completes all opening and closing procedures.
Removes dirty dishware from tables and breaks down at dish washing station
Bowling & Arcade:
- Welcomes guests and provides orientation to bowling lounge procedures.
- Collects and records fees for bowling lanes, shoe rentals and arcade purchases.
- Handles lane reservations, monitors session timing and assists with shoe fittings.
- Sanitizes and organizes rental shoes between use.
- Resets equipment and troubleshoots basic bowling land or arcade issues.
- Monitors arcade machines and reports any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Maintains a clean and organized lounge and arcade environment.
- Assists with organizing and hosting special events and parties.
- Handles customer inquiries and feedback in a professional manner.
- Delivers attentive, enthusiastic service that reflects Lāna‘i Bowlʻs hospitality standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service and/or dining room operations, preferred.
Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
Requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
Ability to create effective working relationships with employees.
Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
Ability to work varied shifts; including late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision.
