We’re currently growing our team of Artisans with a Sr. Project Manager. This role is responsible for direct on-site oversight of Mechanical Specialty Services (MSS) Projects and crews with additional responsibilities in sales support, estimating, and project planning.


Duties & Responsibilities


· Lead and supervise mechanical crews during Turnaround and Shutdown projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

· Coordinate daily work activities, assign tasks, and monitor crew performance.

· Interface with client representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and execution strategy.

· Attend on-site sales meetings to provide technical insight and support business development efforts.

· Participate in proposal reviews, offering constructability feedback and resource planning input.

· Assist/Lead in generating detailed cost estimates for mechanical scopes, including labor, materials, company-owned and rental equipment.

· Develop and maintain project step-out timelines to support planning and execution phases.

· Foster and create an environment of compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned documentation post-project.

· Provide mentorship and training to junior crew members and field supervisors.

Supervisory

· Will manage a team of Mechanical Field Specialist Leads and Mechanical Field Specialists.

Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications


· Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction or maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within Turnaround/Shutdown environments.

· Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, rotating equipment, and related industrial components.

· Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work packages.

· Experience with estimating tools and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar).

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with clients.

· Strong organizational and time management skills, especially under tight deadlines.

· Ability to travel and work extended hours during Turnaround events.

· Valid driver’s license.


Preferred Qualifications

· Experience working in petrochemical, refining, or heavy industrial environments.

· Familiarity with project controls, earned value management, and cost tracking systems.

· Proficiency in proposal development and client-facing presentations.

· NCCER or other industry-recognized certifications in mechanical disciplines.

· Demonstrated success in leading multi-discipline teams during complex Turnaround events.

· Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and documentation practices.

· Experience with digital tools for field data capture and reporting (e.g., tablets, mobile apps).


Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The Company requires passing a pre-employment physical in which an objective medical professional will determine whether you can safely meet the physical demands of the position.

· Duration of Workhours During Project Executions:

· Typically, 12 continuous hours that may extend up to 14 - 16 hours if an emergent need exists.

· Day shift and/or night shift.

· Working Conditions During Project Executions:

· Uneven or unstable ground, and wet, muddy, or slippery surfaces and footings.

· Outside locations in extreme temperatures and weather conditions including wind, rain, snow, and other forms of inclement weather.

· Physical Demands:

· Work at heights up to 150 ft/ 45m accessed via stairs, climbing ladders. This requires an ability to climb ladders and stairs without issue.

· Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs., without assistance.

· Pushing / pulling up to 100 lbs., without assistance.

· Standing and walking for up to 12 to 14 hours daily with minimal rest breaks. May exceed 10,000 to 15,000 steps per day.

· Bending and stooping repeatedly and performing task including twisting or turning valves and using wrenches and hand tools.


Travel Requirements

Ability to travel 150-200 overnights per year to multiple North American markets to support a growing list of clients. Out-of-town assignments can range from 30-45 days in length.
