GA foods is seeking a Production Line Team Lead to support day-to-day production line activities, lead by example, and help drive efficiency, quality, and safety. This full-time, on-site role is well-suited for hands-on leaders who are eager to grow within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and actively participate in production line activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
Set up and operate production equipment, including packaging, labeling, and assembly stations.
Maintain accuracy in product labeling, coding, and packaging to meet established quality standards.
Troubleshoot workflow issues and collaborate with team members to reduce downtime and improve output.
Serve as a go-to resource on the floor, helping resolve operational issues and guiding team performance.
Enforce compliance with safety standards, sanitation protocols, and internal policies.
Provide real-time coaching and support to production staff to drive team success and meet performance goals.
Assist with equipment adjustments and basic maintenance to minimize disruptions.
Maintain accurate records related to production performance, including output, waste, and downtime.
Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities to support operational goals.
Partner cross-functionally with internal teams such as Quality, Safety, and Maintenance to ensure cohesive plant operations.
Proactively monitor safety conditions and lead by example in promoting a secure work environment.
Ideal Background:
Previous experience leading a team in a production or manufacturing setting; food industry background is a plus.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to both manage and participate in production activities.
Clear communicator with problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Willingness to grow, adapt to changing processes, and participate in ongoing training.
Comfortable using digital tools for reporting and tracking production metrics.
Solid math and measurement skills.
Working knowledge of GMP, sanitation practices, and production safety standards.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
Ability to work in a production environment with varying conditions (noise, temperature, odors, wet or slippery surfaces).
Regularly required to stand, bend, lift, stretch, and use hands for fine motor tasks throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and up to 8 lbs frequently.
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a high-energy setting.
Must be dependable and punctual.
Bilingual proficiency is preferred.
