The Fuf Operator I produces filled Fuf covers in coherence while living and promoting the core values of
Comfort Research. To perform this job successfully, this individual will be required to perform all duties in
a safe and timely manner with a keen eye for quality. The employee must have the ability to operate
manufacturing equipment and be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
POSITION DETAILS
- Shift Times: 3:30PM - 2:00AM, M-TH
- Shift Premium: $2.00 premium for hours worked on 2nd shift
- Pay Schedule: Weekly
- Pay Rate: $16.00 - $17.00/hr (before shift premium)
- Training for this role will be 1 week on 1st shift - 6:00AM - 2:30PM, M-F
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Demonstrates the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks and interactions with others.
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment specific to the assigned Fuf area (Fuf Filler, Fuf Thrower, or Fuf Shredder).
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards through careful attention to detail and consistency in production.
- Follow safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work safely at all times, particularly when operating shredding and other machinery.
- Maintain efficiency in production processes to meet daily output goals.
- Assist in achieving production and on-time delivery objectives by efficiently managing tasks and workload.
- Ensure all products meet quality standards, with no foreign materials (e.g., metal, plastic, trash, foam chunks) contaminating the final product.
- Verify final box quality and labeling to ensure a consistent and excellent customer experience.
- Conduct quality checks using required measurement equipment, such as weight scales, and adhere to product/process specifications.
- Communicate any quality issues to the Team Leader or Operations Manager promptly.
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the work area. Support the Production team in shared goals and initiatives.

Requirements
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of general manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manufacturing equipment related to the Fuf production process.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to read and understand job aids and other instructional material printed in English preferred.
- Good vision and color perception are essential.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift/move product weighing between 50 and 100 pounds (assistance necessary with larger, heavier units).
