Your role will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic operations, patient satisfaction, and the overall success of healthcare teams by assessing, implementing, and monitoring infection control protocols and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infection prevention and control, along with the flexibility to work in diverse healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of infection control practices and procedures at assigned healthcare facilities.
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control plans based on current guidelines and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and recommend improvements as needed.
- Educate healthcare staff on infection control measures, including hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to investigate and manage outbreaks of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
- Participate in infection control committees and provide expertise on infection prevention strategies.
- Collect and analyze data related to infection rates and trends, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging infectious diseases and recommend adjustments to infection control policies accordingly.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum LPN license in good standing in the listed state or active Compact/Multistate license.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
- Minimum of [1] years of experience in infection prevention and control in healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence healthcare professionals.
- Ability to travel extensively and work independently in various healthcare environments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to different locations on short notice and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between healthcare facilities, if applicable.
