The Electronics Field Technician Supervisor position manages and oversees the daily operations of a team of field service technicians in multiple regions. This includes handling scheduling, managing projects, ensuring quality service, and providing technical and professional guidance to a team who provides service by installing, repairing, and maintaining data sensors on well service rigs and support equipment. Additional responsibility is to maintain production equipment in a manner that meets Company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime by administering preventive maintenance programs and procedures.
Job Functions/Duties:
- Manage and mentor field technicians, providing guidance and technical support, ensuring team members are properly trained and have the necessary tools and resources to support projects.
- Oversee daily operations, delegate tasks, and monitor project progress to ensure completion on time and within budget.
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with safety and company protocols.
- Manage and coordinate inventory, equipment, and company vehicles to ensure technicians have the necessary resources.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the field, providing support for technicians when they encounter problems they cannot solve
- Manage work orders and ensure timely and efficient customer service delivery.
- Ensure that projects and tasks meet high-quality standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical expertise, troubleshooting issues, and make technical decisions when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, new equipment, and relevant software.
- Works with the local crews on proper installation and maintenance of sensors and communicate potential problem areas and expected cycle time
- Identifies required sensor packages per CORE system
- Assists in monitoring data recording processes to capture data real time
- Develops continuous improvement culture so that drill out cycle times continue to be reduced
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 6+ years in well service, workover and completions rig experience; relevant industry education in industrial, engineering or related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical certification in mechanical or electrical preferred.
- The ability to motivate, lead, and communicate effectively with a diverse team and various stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the well servicing industry, equipment, processes, and relevant software used by field technicians.
- Skills to manage multiple priorities, schedule tasks efficiently, and maintain detailed records.
- The capacity to identify problems, assess risks, and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience in a technical field, often in a prior technician or management
- Ability to interact positively with clients, explain technical issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
