We are currently seeking an Ag Outside Sales Representative for our Healdsburg facility.
The Outside Contractor Sales Associate (AG) partners with customers to grow their business by providing creative Agricultural material solutions, primarily Trellising and Irrigation for vineyards. Responsible for the complete sales cycle from prospect to payment. Provide the customer what they want, when they want it, and keeping it simple.
Commission based: $48,000 - $300,000 per year
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Minimum 5-years’ experience in agricultural sales
· Minimum 3-years’ sales experience
· Valid Class C Driver’s License required with one point or less on the driving record
RESPONSIBILITES:
· Contacts customers on a regular basis to maintain and build relationships.
· Reaches out to prospects to gain new business.
· Continually expands their network. Examples - Participates in industry events, joins farming trade associations, knows the winery/vineyard owners and supervisors.
· Maintains proper customer documentation.
· Assess customer needs and aligns product solutions.
· Understands customers’ business and solves their problems (i.e., assist in resolving technical and delivery problems with the customer)
· Schedule appointments with key customers and management.
· Conducts semi-annual business planning with your top 3 customers. To include: performance results and future forecasting.
· Manages customer relationships transparently with Sales management.
· Prepares quotes for jobs, or partners with Sales Coordinators to complete quotes.
· Adherences to established sales pricing and practices.
· Follows-up on quotes and secures competitive information.
· Collaborates with Buyers to understand inventory needs.
· Makes recommendations to Purchasing regarding inventory to cover anticipated needs.
· Maintains company first mindset, promoting company and product offerings.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Knows all customers in assigned territory.
- Understands the winery/agricultural industry
- Understands the marketplace
- Knowledgeable about competition
- Knows the product lines
- Understands nuisances the vineyard profession
- Capable, reliable, dependable
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proficient computer skills (i.e., MS Office)
- Preferred experience with Epicor products
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
