Location Details: This role is hybrid with two days on-site at the FAA Headquarters in Washington D.C. 

Prior FAA experience is required.


Evans is hiring Technical Project Manager to join one of their growing contracts with the FAA. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing technical projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.


  • Lead the planning and implementation of technical projects.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and manage project budget.
  • Coordinate staff and manage project resource allocation.
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.

Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
