Leads the on-property Health and Performance Department, providing strategic direction and functional support across all areas—including Medical, Mental Health, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Acupuncture, Sports Medicine, Spirituality, and supporting staff. Ensures optimal staffing and practitioner availability to deliver an exemplary guest experience.

 

Oversees departmental planning, budgeting, and financial management, including payroll, monthly financial statements, and operating budgets, to maintain the department’s strength and performance. Guides the design, development, and implementation of Health and Performance programming such as workshops, lectures, and curated experiences.

 

Holds accountability for the overall guest experience within the Health and Performance Department and serves as an active member of the property’s Executive Committee.

Responsibilities:

Programming: Responsible for facilitation and implementation H&P owned programs, additional CR programming as needed, workshops, lectures, designed experiences, and new H&P services. Areas of responsibility include communicating effectively with Ranch wide departments to ensure smooth implementation, including revenue management serrvices, compliance and legal. Creates work-flow processes and coordinates system redesign to establish efficiencies in operation, improved guest service and cost effective approaches to expense management. Coordinates process management and evaluates work flow to create measures of success and feedback loops with the overall goal of continuous quality improvement. Designs and develops measurement tools written procedures, templates and policies. Develops financial proformas for new programs workshops or services approved by revenue management and the Experience development committee.

 

Staff Supervision: Leads all Health & Performance (H&P) staff on property while fostering collaboration with other departments (e.g., General Manager, Spa Director, and cross-property teams) to ensure a seamless, exemplary guest experience. Builds strong working relationships across the organization to align efforts, share expertise, and drive awareness of H&P services and initiatives. Directly supervises assigned H&P departments, including oversight of scheduling, performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and ongoing feedback. Provides technical guidance and support to staff while championing process improvements, infrastructure upgrades, and professional development initiatives. Ensures all team members receive appropriate coaching, training, and performance management to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Partners with leaders of non-reporting teams to influence, support, and coordinate staff availability and service delivery across the property. Ensures payroll functions are executed accurately and on time.

 

Reports: Develops and regularly reviews service reports to optimize service promotion, availability, and return on investment for capital expenditures and wage analysis. Conducts primary research on new technologies and services to support the design and implementation of innovative offerings. Provides recommendations for promotional and marketing activities to enhance revenue and guest engagement.

 

Budget & Finance: Responsible for the development of annual budget and daily management to meet budgetary goals. Create efficiencies and manage expenses while increasing revenue opportunities to meet or exceed budgetary goals. Effectively analyze department utilization and attain staffing and room utilization goals. Develop budget for each of the Health and Performance areas: including Medical, Mental Health, Nutrition, Performance Science, Acupuncture, Sports Medicine, Spirituality. Reviews advises and assists in defending budgets. Works closely with department directors to coordinate revenue and expenses on a monthly basis.

 

Compliance: Partnership with compliance and regulatory to maintain an up to date awareness of current regulatory and compliance obligations for State, Federal and other relevant jurisdictions that are applicable to Health and Performance operations. Ensures that procedures are implemented, maintained and regularly audited to sustain continued full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Promptly reports any known shortfalls to the Chief Compliance/ Auditor Officer & VP Health & Performance. Experience with or willingness to develop skills to assist with EHR functionality

 

Public Speaking & Leadership: Previous public speaking experience and leading a team that directly and indirectly reports to you. Has the ability to facilitate guest interactions with Health & Performance providers and subject areas. Expertise in one pillar of Health & Performance is ideal.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience required.

 

Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing Administration or other health-related field required.

 

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history

CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment

First Aid Certified
