WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Director of Procurement is a strategic leader responsible for managing and optimizing our supply chain sourcing activities. You’ll lead a high-performing team to ensure ingredients, packaging, and indirect goods are sourced at the highest standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance. This position plays a vital role in supplier negotiations, risk mitigation, and strategic growth planning.

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
  • Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Ag team, Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance and other internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Manage procurement budget and drive cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise. 
  • Monitor market conditions and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Manage procurement systems and reporting tools for optimization.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned 


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Deep understanding of supply chain management principles
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of contract law and vendor management 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, including 5+ years in a leadership role within manufacturing (food industry preferred)
  • Proven track record of building strong supplier relationships and delivering cost savings
  • Experience in ERP systems and procurement analytics tools.
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement in food industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance within food manufacturing.
  • Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM)


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Operate office equipment requires repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday onsite, when business requires before/after hours will be mandatory
