Job Description
Associate Director, Global Business Center
The Manager of the Global Business Center (GBC) at the BYU Marriott School of Business oversees international business-related activities and manages the Center’s day-to-day operations. This role supports four key areas:
- Faith-building global experiential learning opportunities for students
- Faculty-mentored research involving students and faculty in global research
- External outreach connecting alumni and practitioners to students
- Brand awareness to increase student engagement with the Center
What you’ll do in this position:
Experiential Learning
- Oversee Student Exchange Programs in collaboration with the International Programs Coordinator
- Coordinate international internship opportunities with the Kennedy Center and Business Career Center, including funding mechanisms
- Supervise international business competitions and campus outreach events
- Support the Global Business Student Association (GBSA) in hosting the annual Advisory Board Global Business Plan Competition
- Supervise the GlobalHub program and its ¾-time manager
- Administer scholarship and fellowship programs, including Eccles Scholars, Cardon International Fellows, and Undergraduate Scholars
- Manage study abroad programs within the college, including faculty selection and student recruitment
- Oversee the Global Business Minor and Certificate Programs, ensuring alignment with student needs and curriculum goals
- Mentor student teams to foster leadership, faith, and character
Mentored Research
- Manage annual faculty research awards and semesterly research travel grants
- Support the planning and execution of international business research and practice-based conferences
- Facilitate student involvement in research initiatives
Brand Awareness
- Lead GBC marketing and public relations efforts in collaboration with the Marriott School External Relations team
- Ensure consistent messaging across all campaigns to raise awareness of the Center’s mission and impact
Grants
- Assist in developing and submitting grant proposals to external funding sources (e.g., Department of Education, Eccles Foundation)
- Manage the execution and reporting of grant-funded initiatives
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least five years of relevant work experience
- Strong administrative and project management skills
- High level of accountability, responsiveness, and efficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage multiple programs, events, and deadlines
- Credible international experience and familiarity with international business issues
- Understanding of academic environments and the roles of faculty and university leadership
Preferred
- MBA or related master’s degree
- Five years of experience in higher education with a focus on international business

Pay Grade: 54
Typical Starting Pay: $79,500.00 to $103,500.00
