What You Will Do

Under the general supervision of Quality Engineer / Quality Manager, person in this position provides metallurgical laboratory services to meet the needs of the lab

Ensures to follow provided instructions for sample preparation, analysis, metallurgical testing and reporting.

Uses metal slicing saw machines, ovens, sample mounting, metal polishers, use of microscopes, etc.

Reads procedures, blueprints, sample layouts and prepares reports as needed

Manages smooth flow of the lab testing.

Assists Lab Technicians

Ensures company policies and procedures are complied with and understood.

Maintains a clean and organized workplace

This is a 1st shift , Monday -Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm

Qualifications You Must Have

HS Diploma or GED

U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

3 months experience in manufacturing

Qualtifications We Prefer

3 months experience working in a laboratory.

Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie, TX, is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
