In this role, you will be at the heart of supporting Alaskans by reviewing and processing screenings and applications for essential programs such as Community First Choice (CFC), Personal Care Services (PCS), Medicaid Waiver, and General Relief. You’ll respond to inquiries from SDS assessors, providers, agencies, staff, and clients across the state using the Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) data system, Harmony.
Working under general direction, you’ll provide paraprofessional assistance to teams administering these critical services, helping ensure individuals receive the care and support they need.
Your responsibilities will include offering clear, accurate information to the public about these programs and researching relevant statutes, regulations, and policies to determine their applicability. You may also be entrusted with lead worker duties, guiding others in delivering high-quality service and maintaining program integrity.
This position does require occasional travel within the state of Alaska.

Position Duties
High school graduation or equivalent:
AND
Three years of clerical experience with one year of experience in public health, health care services, senior services, medical assistance programs, health education, nursing, medical social work, health services administration or a closely related field.
Substitution: College education from an accredited college with a course emphasis in social services or a related field may substitute for the required experience.
Minimum Qualifications

- Three (3) professional references whom we may contact by phone, one (1) of whom must be your current or most recent supervisor, if not already provided in the application.
